The office of the international auditing and consulting company occupies 2 floors in the building of VERDE business center. The management of KPMG wanted the office space to be democratic enough. High-tech on the one hand, but it should not only support the corporate spirit, but also be as comfortable and flexible as possible for employees. The architects placed almost all workplaces near the windows in the open space area and part of the offices. This layout allowed for maximum illumination of workplaces and provided employees with a panoramic view.
- The planning solution reflects the principle of Activity Based Workplace.
- Employees work anytime, anywhere, while being given the time and space to work independently.
- Empowerment – whereby trust leads to responsibility.
- Open and flexible workspaces, including the right acoustics for each activity.
- Flexible working relationships; support for honest and genuine conversations.
- Unlimited (digital) access and connectivity – digital transformation and independence from paper documents.
The multifunctional rooms are integrated into an open space with the possibility to accommodate meeting rooms, offices, lounge areas or informal meeting areas for employees, depending on the company’s business objectives. These spaces are easily transformable and create flexibility and ease of use for specific tasks.
The main area is undoubtedly the reception area. Flexibility and at the same time stability of the company’s principles is reflected in the ceiling – a wave with built-in light accents echoing the curves of the ceiling and the reception desk made in stone with the company logo carved on it. Reflection of corporate colors are blue accents.
